HAINES CITY- A suspect is in custody and now faces charges after stabbing three people in Polk County, killing one.

A Lake Hamilton Police Officer came up to the scene at Lake Hatchineha Road and Watkins Road around 11pm Sunday. 41-year-old Odalis Cespedes was dead at the scene, she had been run over multiple times.

The officer attempted to arrest the suspect, 26-year-old Casey Till, who took off in a mini van. The door struck the officer as he fled.

Officers soon discovered two others had been stabbed, 19-year-old Ivon Despaigne and 21-year-old Angel Gonzalez, were taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Till was later apprehended at his home on East Shady Cove.

The motive behind the stabbing is unknown.
