Two pedestrians dead in Hillsborough County

BRANDON- Two people are dead after they were struck by a vehicle trying to help them.

A 2002 Buick being driven by Michael Redish was heading westbound on Interstate 4 neat McIntosh Road when a disabled vehicle caught his eye.

Redish slammed on his breaks and swerved into the emergency lane, his view of the car was block by a semi. The Buick then slammed into two of the stranded motorists.

23-year-old Jessica Dailey died at the scene.  31-year-old John Bell, was pronounced dead at Tampa General Hospital.

Redish suffered serious injuries from the crash.

Charges are pending.
