Woman shoots at store and home in same day

SPRING HILL- A Hernando County woman is in jail after her part in two shootings Friday.

29-year-old Maria Delvecchio became upset after having a problem with a computer she bought at a local Staples.

She went to the store on Commercial Way, armed with a cinder block and a gun. She tried to use the cinder block to break the store’s window, but it bounced off. That’s when she fired five rounds into the windows. She then threw the computer and the keyboard, which had an explective on it, into the store.

Delvecchio thenĀ  went to the home of Miguel Cruz on Malone Avenue. She claimed a man named Anthony raped her five years ago lived there. When no one came to the door, she shot at the home and took off.

Cruz was able to get hir tag number, and detectives tracked Delvecchio down. She’s now charged with 2nd degree attemped murder and shooting into a building.
